It was a perfect July morning at the Hershey Gardens for a family and maternity photo session.
Madison and I connected in April to start planning for a family and maternity session. When thinking about a date, we like to plan for maternity photos to be taken around 32-36 weeks. This is when the baby bump is sweet and round and hopefully, clients are not too uncomfortable. Comfort is a priority for Meadow View Photography clients, and is in the forefront of our minds as we think through the location and time of day.
After thinking through the time of year and the many of the wonderful locations in Hershey, it was decided that the Hershey Gardens would provide the beautiful flowers they were hoping for. When thinking of a location, we also talk through if any locations hold a special place in their heart, maybe tied to a special memory. The Hershey Gardens had a sentimental spot in their heart since that is where Dom proposed to Madison. This made the gardens even more special!
The morning at the gardens was perfect. The weather was ideal and we finished the session before the hot July sun was overhead. To our surprise, the Rolls Royce Foundation from Mechanicsburg had their vintage cars on display throughout the gardens. They were so kind to allow us to capture a few photos with a Rolls-Royce. The dark blue of the car with the white lace dress was stunning! We strolled around the pink, yellow, and red roses, posed at the beautiful arbors, and smelled the sweet flowers in the perennial garden. It felt like a magical morning.
Madison and Dom,
Thank YOU so much for the opportunity to capture your
family and maternity photos! You have the sweetest family
and very excited for you as you become a family of four.
Wishing you all the best!
XO,
Wendy
Sharing a few of my favorites from our morning at the Hershey Gardens.
A few of my favorite black and white images are because of the emphasis they provide on the composition and add that timeless quality. When color is removed from the photo, in my mind, it simplifies an image and allows you to concentrate on the story of the photo and the emotions of the image.
