Magical is the word that comes to mind when you combine a zinnia flower field, a beautiful ballet dancer, and the perfect August evening.
This session was the combination of many wonderful people coming together to bring to a vision to life. It was an opportunity to be creative and have fun!
It all started when my friend sent a text and shared that there was a beautiful zinnia field at Milton Hershey School in full bloom. Tony and I hopped in the car to check it out. For those that follow along on Instagram, you saw the video of the beautiful field of zinnias and grass trails. Immediately I started to think of ideas for a photoshoot and the thought of a ballet dancer with rose petals came to mind.
Next, I put out a model call on Instagram to see if there were any senior ballet dancers (class of 2025) interested in a 30-minute photography session. Ada was the first to respond and thank you to everyone who did reach out. After reviewing the details with Ada's mom, we were ready to go!
On the day of the session, I stopped by Royers Flowers in Hershey and discussed with the florist the idea of using rose petals in the photo shoot. I shared a picture of the flower field and they put together a bag of rose petals that matched the flower field colors perfectly!
We met 45 minutes before sunset since we were planning for a 30-minute session. Ada's friend Elena joined us which I was so thankful for! We talked about different ideas for the session and together thought through how to make it happen. You can watch the BTS reel on Instagram!
Ada and Elena,
Thank you so much for thinking
through this session with me. For being creative
and willing to see if we could bring this vision to life.
Wow! Not only did you both bring it to life, it is better than
I could have imagined! Absolutely beautiful and magical!
Best wishes to you both as you start new chapters this year!
Appreciate you!
Wendy
