Family Photography Session in Hummelstown PA
In honor of Mother's Day, I thought it would be the perfect week to write about a sweet mom-and-son session.
Kelly and I were trying to decide on the perfect location to capture her son's love of the outdoors and water. Lucky for us there is a wooded trail that runs along the Swatara Creek that would provide the ideal backdrop. We had a lot of rain which meant no pictures in or near the creek but we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered that the majority of the trail was lined with Virginia Blue Bells.
Kelly packed a picnic lunch, and off we went for a fun afternoon! They enjoyed a nice walk on the trail, sharing peanut butter sandwiches, playing hide-and-seek, and blowing bubbles.
Day-to-day life has us rushing from one thing to the next, but on this afternoon, time seemed to slow down. There was a pause, and the busyness of the world seemed miles away. Together, they played games, told stories, laughed, smiled, shared hugs, and loved!
What a gift to present for this moment in time and to capture these images to create a forever memory. Children don't stay little forever but these memories of when a parent is fully present will forever be imprinted on their hearts.
Kelly,
Thank you for the opportunity to spend the afternoon with you and to be a part of your story! It's a beautiful story and you are an amazing mom!
XO,
Wendy
